Comfortable trousers with an elastic waist, knitted top-down in Line (version 4A) or in Tynn Line held double (version 4B). The waist height can be adjusted to suit. 3 mm and 3.5 mm needles – tension: 21 stitches = 10 cm. Notions: 3 cm wide elastic, cut to waist length.
Begin with the waistband, knitted double to hold the elastic. Increases and short rows add height at the back. The work is then knitted in the round from the chart, the gusset is shaped, and each leg is divided and finished separately.
The amount of yarn is based on the measurements shown. Allow extra yarn for a longer garment.
